Tween idol Jesse McCartney’s new pop album is appropriately titled “Right Where You Want Me.” At an appearance Thursday morning in-studio at Star 94, the 19-year-old was right where Steve McCoy and Vikki Locke wanted him.
At the center of a celebrity stork report. Jesse McCartney, who is
dating actress Katie Cassidy, daughter of baby boomer teen idol David Cassidy. He then spilled that his gal pal has been cast as Lucy Ewing in the big-screen adaptation of the 1970/1980s TV soap “Dallas.”
Then Locke inquired, “Oh, so I bet your girlfriend can give us the scoop on why Jennifer Lopez was fired from the movie?” Without thinking, McCartney replied, “She didn’t get fired. She’s pregnant.“
Oops. J-Lo and hubby Marc Anthony haven’t exactly made that news public yet. Locke reports that McCartney then looked nervously over at his female handler and quickly changed the subject.
“It was kind of a ‘Oops, what did I just do?’ moment,” Locke told Buzz. “It quickly became ‘Can we just talk about the record?’ When the microphones were off, he just looked at the woman with him and asked, ‘Was I not supposed to say anything?”
“Right Where You Want Me” arrives in stores Sept. 19. McCoy and Locke will re-air the interview between 6 and 7 a.m. today.

So the super secret concert took place at Webster Hall in NYC. My friend and I got there at a great time and got a perfect place on line. When we got in there it was standing room only, which was no surprise, so we pushed our way to the front and we were in the second standing row right by the stairs. Before the performance, we spotted Mrs. McCartney, Timmy, Lea, (I’m guessing) his Grandma, and I’m 99% sure I saw Katie up there. Jesse performed a combo of new and old songs.
Blow Your Mind, Right Where You Want Me, We Can Go Anywhere, Tell Her, Beautiful Soul, She’s No You, and Stupid Things, just to name a few. It looked like he had a new band because I’m pretty sure he used to have a girl drummer and now it’s a guy, and the girl back up singers are gone. But it’s okay because the sound is more mature and it sounds great. People that won tix through Z100 got to meet him after the show, but we got in through Teen People. The show was absolutely amazing and the new CD is going to blow your mind. Oh and he said that Keith is going to be released in the Spring of 2007 and he just saw a rough cut of it and he said it looked amazing. So there’s much to look forward to.

Just when they thought they were in the clear – The teachers and principal of Tuckahoe Middle/High School along with several willing parents convince a group of students that they must come back during their summer break to take a grueling, last minute aptitude test in order to graduate to the next grade. Throughout the entire process, the parents and students were secretly filmed as the drama unfolded.
At the height of their stress, while students struggled with an extraordinarily difficult oral test as well as a test packet as thick as a phonebook, the gymnasium divider is pulled back to reveal Jesse McCartney on stage with his band — as he declares “You’ve been SCHOOLED”!!… The shocked students are then given a private concert with music from his upcoming album, “Right Where You Want Me” scheduled to be released on September 19. In addition to the once in a lifetime private concert the students also receive brand-new back-to-school gear that Jesse personally picked out for them, compliments of OfficeMax. Instead, McCartney will simply appear as himself to sing at Colby Chandler’s sweet 16 party in September. Funnily enough, Colby (Ambyr Childers) is JR’s recently SORAS-ed baby sister! McCartney will serenade the spoiled little rich girl with the title song off his new album, Right Where You Want Me, which goes on sale Sept. 19.
McCartney tapes his scenes today at the AMC set in New York City. They will air on Friday, Sept. 8 and Tuesday, Sept. 12.
“It’s a cool homecoming for Jesse,” the Summerland alum’s rep tells TVGuide.com. “It’s nice for him to be returning to daytime as a star and not just a guy in need of a gig!”
Oh, and just FYI, Colby’s sweet 16 bash is actually a joint event with her new gal pal, Sydney (Taylor Gildersleeve). McCartney is Colby’s teen singer of choice, while Sydney’s pick is female songbird Jordan Pruitt, who will also perform on AMC. Both McCartney and Pruitt are Hollywood Records artists and fan favorites among the Radio Disney set.
By the way, that’s why Colby and Sydney’s sweet 16 will be held at the Pine Valley yacht club, rather than at ConFusion. Nobody in attendance would even be of legal age to party in an adult nightclub!
