Jesse McCartney is the target of rumours recently after a reality TV star in the US claimed on her MySpace page that he proposed to her friend, actress Katie Cassidy.
McCartney and girlfriend Cassidy have been dating for a while, however reps for Jesse are so far denying the rumours.
And now he’s at the center of a little private gossip himself after reality star Lauren Conrad claimed she was with McCartney and friends in Los Angeles when he proposed to his actress girlfriend Katie Cassidy.
In a new posting on her MySpace.com site, Conrad writes, “He got down and asked her. It was so sweet! Everyone was clapping afterwards.”
McCartney’s representatives are denying the engagement story.

Its only a rumour, and to be honest, when i first read it i was like no way! But now thinking about it, i saw it coming a long time ago.
As much as any of us would hate to admit it, Jesse and Katie are cute together. She makes him happy, and true fans wouldnt just ripp off his posters off the wall just because he is marrying the love of his life (if he is marrying her). Instead they would support his decision. Wheather he is married or not, he is still a great person and performer!

For the love of Jesse! Guys!!! There’s no way, first off, that a simple fan could just be Jesse’s if they wanted to. Second, this is another Hollywood rumor. Third, Jesse doesn’t love you guys any less, say this rumor was true. He loves Katie more than the world, and Katie to him. I agree he’s young, but that’s when the love is the strongest. I don’t get why some of you guys are so mad. This is Jesse’s life, and if you’re a true fan, you would let him love it and not have you guys plan it out for him.
